London Pop Up 2019

June 19, 2019 / Abbie Baynes  /

Join us at the end of July for our brand-new London Pop-Up event being held over two days at Hoxton Arches in Cremer Street, E2.

We kick off at 12 noon on Wednesday 24th July with a relaxing lunchtime yoga session; a chance to unwind from a busy morning in the office. Hosted by Yogamatters, one of Spring’s newest clients, we’ll also be providing a delicious vegan lunch.

Later on that evening, you’re invited to our Film Night featuring our favourite outdoor speakers and adventure films. Think excellent networking opportunities, a chance to interview brands and ambassadors and of course booze and popcorn! You’re welcome to bring a friend.

The following day is our Brand Showcase, a drop-in event which will run from 12.30 pm to 8 pm. A chance to meet and chat with the faces behind our brands and test out their latest and greatest products for 2019 and 2020. There’ll be street food from Hola Guacamole, drink, atmosphere and excellent goody bags to take away. We’re even providing a photo booth to encapsulate those memories or help with your social media content.

To attend any of our events, or all of them, just RSVP to jo@springpr.com

Beach Clean Diary

April 30, 2019 / Abbie Baynes  /

Spring’s Abbie Baynes joined Hydro Flask charity – Surfers Against Sewage – on their latest Spring Beach Clean. Read her story of nature, nurdles and nudism below…

“After a 6:30 am set off, we headed down to the coast. The weather, initially forecasted to be dark and windy, was glorious and sunny and the waves glistened as they danced onto the shore.

“Perranporth beach looked spotless to the untrained eye, but we later learned that the strong coastal winds drag any litter three miles to the opposite end of the beach, dumping it against the rocky cliff edge. Access is limited to this part of the beach, with only those willing to walk the distance visiting. We also learned that this end of the beach was a nudist paradise. We could be in for quite a treat!

“The grunt of a Land Rover, clearly beginning to admit defeat to the elements, rumbled in the distance, pulling up beside us. We hopped in the back and with a jolt of the engine we headed down to the far end of the beach to uncover what plastic treasures had been washed up.

Attending The Photography Show

April 1, 2019 / Abbie Baynes  /

This month also featured the Photography and Video Show at the NEC in Birmingham, where Spring client Country Innovation showcased their collection of outdoor wear designed for professional and amateur photographers.

Spring’s Helen went along to find out about the newest and best gadgets on the market, including drones, cameras, lenses, microphones, bags, tripods – you name it! You could see it, touch it, test it and buy it. It was also a fantastic opportunity to learn from content creation experts in their field all about lighting, sound, apps, planning and preparation.

Country Innovation Founder, Maria Chilvers, spent four days at the show and found it successful:

“After winning awards for our Traveller Jacket and Raptor Waistcoat in the photography magazines due to their unique design and attention to detail, we decided to enter the main stage arena and exhibit for the first time at The Photography Show at the NEC. It has certainly opened up a whole new market for us. As well as meeting many core Country Innovation customers, we talked the talk to a whole variety of new photographers from all walks of life.

“We had an extremely busy four days at the Show, with a huge amount of interest for our brand new Aperture Jacket which has been specifically designed for the photography market. In addition to making new consumer contacts, we have also had some really good trade enquiries from leading camera retailers. Onwards and upwards!”

Ian Elliot from Elliot Brown Watches

We’ve all heard the phrase, ‘it’s not what you know, it’s who you know’. It often has quite negative connotations. But in the public relations industry, relationships are everything. At Spring PR we know our brands, their products, their issues…and their people.

It’s an ethos that our client, Elliot Brown Watches adheres to: “Our business is its people,” says founding partner, Ian Elliot. “How we actually behave, how we speak to people, the way they are treated is all second nature. Over time word spreads, the friendship group grows, it naturally gains momentum and remains strong.”
