Are you looking for a new and exciting career opportunity to work at one of the most renowned active lifestyle PR agencies in the outdoor industry?  Spring PR is based in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside on the outskirts of Malmesbury and we are looking for a Senior Account Executive to bring their enthusiasm, expertise and energy to help us grow.

We’re a small team who pack a punch and work with some of the biggest and most innovative brands in the outdoor active lifestyle industry including Mammut climbing, Hydro Flask drinking bottles, SMITH sunglasses, Elliot Brown Watches, Polartec fabrics and Yogamatters.  We have recently gained a number of new clients and are now looking for someone with solid consumer PR experience to add value by hitting the ground running and taking ownership of a group of accounts.

We’re looking for a confident self-starter with proven media contacts in the consumer, lifestyle and national news sectors and meticulous planning skills.  Someone who is full of creative ideas, has a friendly approach, dedicated attitude, attention to detail and is keen to develop their PR and marketing career within our company would be suited for the role.

We are a friendly team of people with a number of long-standing employees and the company’s Founder, Stephanie Briggs, is still heavily involved.  We regularly organise and run media events, alongside our day to day office-based work and pride ourselves on a hardworking, enthusiastic, close-knit office culture.

Let’s Be Social

April 11, 2019 / Helen Hyde  /

Just ten years ago Instagram didn’t exist, Facebook had only just introduced its ‘Like’ button and Twitter had only just launched the hyperlinked #Hashtag. Now all three are a part of our daily lives, whether you like it or not, and no outdoor brand would consider excluding social media from its marketing plans.

Those who do it well not only publicise their brand’s ethos, direction and products in an exciting and engaging way but also listen to their customers through social media by asking them questions, reacting to their feedback and learning from their experiences with the brand. It’s the best connection tool out there for linking directly with your core audience and customer base.

The OIA Conference 2019

March 28, 2019 / Helen Hyde  /

The month of March was marked by the annual industry event that is the Outdoor Industry Association Conference and AGM; an important date in our calendars for retailers, distributors, manufacturers and activity providers.

Spring at the OIA Conference
Spring’s Stephanie spent two days at Shrigley Hall Hotel near Cheshire to listen to the talks, take part in the debates and meet industry folk from far and wide.

“The idea of spending two days out of the office when you’re so busy is daunting. In fact, I put off booking to go on the Conference for that very reason. However, the wealth of information I gained over the two days definitely made it worth it.”

The Conference is a chance to share industry knowledge and ideas but it kicks off with a choice of outdoor activities to get everyone in the groove. You could go mountain biking with Pertex, play golf or go running with Chris Lines of Right Lines PR who represent the OIA. But Stephanie chose a walk, sponsored by Ordnance Survey, and joined by the adventurer, Alan Hinkes (the first Briton to climb the world’s 14 highest mountains), giving her a chance to properly talk to those she hadn’t seen in a while.

Here’s our take on the good, the great and the down-right brilliant from this year’s offering.
