Spring PR started 20 years ago in a home study. Our founder, Stephanie Briggs, remains at the helm today. Mel and Jo have together amassed more than 27 years of service between them. In 2015 they were joined by Abbie and more recently by Naomi. We’re a close-knit team with our individual specialisms yet a collective team approach to everything we do. Spring PR isn’t one of us, it’s all of us combined. We may not work out of Stephanie’s home office anymore, but our philosophy remains the same: hard work, loyalty, professionalism and a personal approach produce results.
Meet the Team
Founder and MD
An industry figure in her own right, Stephanie has been working with outdoor brands since her big break with Front Page Creations in Newcastle. This was the opportunity she’d been looking for, and she hasn’t looked back since.
You think you’re organised, you need to meet Jo! When she’s not gaining glorious coverage for our clients, Jo can be found on a yoga mat gaining some zen!
Mel has been working with Stephanie since the start. There isn’t a gear test review she doesn’t know about. (Make sure you request her brownies when you visit!)
Senior Account Executive
Our social media star and much more, Abbie knows her friends from her followers. If she’s not in the office then she’s at an event singing our clients’ praises, or chasing her dog Alfie.
Senior Account Executive
Our newest team member comes from a fashion PR background. An outdoors and exercise fan – she’s found her perfect fit.
Copywriter & Film Maker
A trained broadcast journalist with BBC and ITV production experience. Helen adores filming and writing about our clients.
Pauline looks after the books and will ensure your financials and administration are kept up to date and responded to on time.
Spring PR’s barketing executive, Alf loves visitors, napping and keeping the floors clean. He prides himself on always chasing projects until the end (in exchange for peanut butter!).
Lily is an excellent human resources manager – snaffling edible resources at every opportunity. Always on the alert, pawsing for thought is no option when there’s bag crunching or sweet unwrapping in earshot.
Ethics, environment and endeavours
Like our clients, we value and nurture the outdoor environment in which we all enjoy our spare time. Without the natural world around us, our brands would have no market and we would have no business! But more than that, we all have a duty of care to the world we’re passing on to our children. We love the fact that we’re based in the Wiltshire countryside on the outskirts of Malmesbury – a town proud of its eco credentials and the Malmesbury Against Plastic campaign.
For the last six years, Spring PR has been a member of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA). A not-for-profit organisation that allows conservation charities and bodies to apply for grants of up to 30,000 Euros for specific projects. Such work has so far included the establishment and repair of environmental trails, the protection of wildlife species, clean-up operations and replanting forests.
This year, five of our Springers are taking part in the Youth Adventure Trust 10 Peaks Challenge. On the weekend of Saturday 3rd October, Abbie, Naomi, Stephanie, Jo and Helen have to climb ten peaks in ten hours in the Brecon Beacons, including Pen y Fan, Corn Du and Cribyn.
