Founded by Galliano Bordin, AKU has grown from a small workshop into an industry with over 30 years’ experience in the design and production of high-quality, award-winning trekking and outdoor footwear.
AKU is an Italian footwear brand designed for people that live, work and spend time outdoors.
The AKU collection ranges from mountaineering boots to casual footwear with 85% of its production coming from company-owned facilities in Italy and Romania . Research into new technologies, together with the design and production of the AKU trekking and outdoor footwear collection top models, take place at the production plant in Montebelluna, Italy in the province of Treviso, famous for its sports footwear.
The brand takes its environmental responsibility seriously and is able to trace the geographical origin of 100% of their product components as well as using Dani Sustainable Chrome Free Leather. With out-of-the box comfort guaranteed you’ll often see the Spring team running around trade shows in a pair!
