For the seventh year running, our annual Open House event proved a roaring success with 15 of Spring’s clients showcasing their latest outdoor gear at London’s Hospital Club.
More than 50 journalists popped by to find out about the latest product launches and meet the names behind the brands; including Tristan Kennedy, editor in chief of Mpora, George Scott from RCUK, Cat Weakley from the Daily Telegraph’s Ski and Snowboard magazine and Will Renwick from Outdoors Magic.
Some shots from the day:
Ben Hobson from Runner’s World told us, “it helps to be at the sharp end of the industry. Without these events you can assume you are up to date with what’s happening, but already today I have been introduced to two new pieces of technology I knew nothing about”.
As well as journalists, Nick Moynihan and Laurie Taylor, members of the British Ski Team, came along to talk about their involvement with ski pole manufacturers, Leki. And Sarah Outen MBE was unveiled as the latest brand ambassador for Elliot Brown watches.
Lilian Sullivan, who represents sportswear brand, CMP, in Britain said, “This is the third year we’ve attended Open House and every year it gets better. We have met some very high quality journalists from across a broad media range. We’ve seen some really good results from the show and it has been well worth it for us, the organisation is brilliant”.
New Polygene Vest:
Nick Brosnan from Polygiene used the event to introduce journalists to the brand’s new association with Rab and Montane, including the launch of this new running vest:
And Matt Jordan, who represents Hydro Flask in the UK, summed up the reason behind why Spring PR arranges this event every year, “this is a fantastic event which gives us access to dozens of high quality journalists and bloggers. All in one day, in one location”
